A Joyful Word in the English Language

So there are certain words in the vocabulary, that, when used, conjure up particular images or emotions, that can transcend the moment and override any other competing emotion.

Personally, one of those is this word which can be spelled two different ways, one having an extra ‘a’ in the middle. This word is an expression of joy as well as exultation which signifies something won or achieved.  It’s a three or four-letter word depending on how it is pronounced.

The first spelling’s meaning is ” expressing triumph, approval, or encouragement”

The second (according to the urban dictionary is ) “To show extreme excitement or happiness and joy”

Both words are palindromes – they are spelled the same way backward and forwards.

What I have found important about this word is it can change my state of being, even when said ironically or sarcastically. It still manages to uplift and reframe any situation.

When it is used, we know we are all in a good mood and attuned to having the best time we can….

And the word is  ….

Yaay!

So if you want to live in the moment and celebrate small or large victories, try using the word Yaay regularly!
